Serves: 6 | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 45-60 min (stovetop)

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion

  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey (93% lean recommended for flavor)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 1/2 - 3 tbsp It's Seasoned Savory Sazón (start at 2 1/2 tbsp, add more to taste)

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 3 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 3/4 cups low-sodium chicken broth

  • 1 (28 oz) can fire-roasted crushed tomatoes

  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1 (15 oz) can sweet corn, rinsed and drained

  • Salt, to taste (Savory Sazón already contains sea salt, so season lightly and adjust at the end)

  • For topping: shredded cheese, avocado, sour cream or Greek yogurt, cilantro, tortilla chips, sliced jalapeño

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven or large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and bell pepper; sauté 5-7 minutes until softened.

  2. Add ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned (about 5 minutes). Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  3. Sprinkle in the Savory Sazón along with the brown sugar and tomato paste. Stir constantly for about a minute to bloom the spices before adding liquid.

  4. Add chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.

  5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and corn.

  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

  7. Taste and stir in additional Savory Sazón or salt as needed before serving.

  8. Ladle into bowls and top as desired.

  9. Storage: Refrigerate 3-4 days, freeze up to 3 months

This Turkey Chili is everything you want in a fall comfort dish: bold, savory, a little sweet, and endlessly customizable with your favorite toppings. Whether you're serving it up for a football watch party, a tailgate spread, or a quiet night in, one bite of that Savory Sazón-spiced broth will have everyone asking for seconds. Grab your favorite toppings, cozy up, and enjoy!
